UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALL

This university residence hall focuses on maximizing community. Each of the suites open directly into the common areas, all of which have a living space and a kitchen. The houses each have 20-24 residents with space for a Resident Assistant. The six floors in the East tower, and four floors in the West tower are distinct plans, allowing the resident to identify their house through the large windows by the location and color of their lobby. The lowest level contains an auditorium in the West block, and a campus coffee house in the East block. The second level of the residence hall is an open floor plan with recreation space, study tables, a laundry room, computer labs, and small projection rooms for students to reserve. The residence hall acts as a gateway to the underused oak grove behind the building. This gateway also functions as a place for residents to gather and spend time together outside of the residence hall.
